The Moon

written by Jack Ives & Leyla Davis
with original music by Jack Ives
directed by Jack Ives & Megan Hardgrave

Based on the original Grimms fairytale and mirrored in Erikson’s Stages of Development, this story is a grave reminder that no one escapes death. The choices we make not only impact the life we lead but also the people we leave behind.

The Journey to The Moon

The Moon began as a provocation to create a physical theatre piece inspired by a fairytale and a work of visual work of art. The result of that provocation was then further developed around Erikson's Stages of Development to explore life through a lens not often seen in storytelling. What if none of the characters are truly heroic? What if they are just human? What if good intentions aren't enough to make a life meaningful? And what if there is more to life than how we define ourselves? The story that unfolds is a grave reminder that each choice we make impacts the people we leave behind.
